    INSURANCE FOR ATHLETES
    Athletes participating in tackle football shall be required to produce evidence of medical insurance coverage in order to be permitted to participate in practice sessions or contests as described in Education Code Section 32221.

    It shall be the responsibility of the office of the principal of each secondary school to provide each parent with written notification of this requirement.

    No principal shall allow a student to participate in any sport, especially tackle football, unless he has adequate medical insurance.
