ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION

VACATION

Vacations shall be:

  1. Confidential Employees:
    (a) Year 1 through completion of year 4: 2 weeks
    (b) Year 5 through completion of year 9: 3 weeks
    (c) Year 10 through completion of year 14: 4 weeks
    (d) Year 15 and beyond: 5 weeks
  2. Classified Supervisors:
    (a) Year 1 through completion of year 10: 4 weeks
    (b) Year 11 and beyond: 5 weeks
  3. Classified Employees (see CSEA Contract)

Vacation Carryover

  1. Confidential Employees and Classified Supervisors:
    (a) Up to 5 years: accumulation at a rate of 1 week per year, but not to exceed 2 weeks
    (b) Years 6-19: 3 weeks
    (c) Year 20 and beyond: 4 weeks
    (d) All carryover hours must be taken by July 1 of each year. Exceptions shall be made only by written consent of the Superintendent.
  2. Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents may carry over twenty-five (25) non-work days

Classified Vacation Schedules

All employees who work less than twelve (12) months are required to take three (3) days of vacation at Winter Break and four (4) days of vacation at Spring Break. Remaining vacation must be taken immediately at the end of the work year, unless otherwise authorized by the supervisor and the Superintendent.
