RESIGNATION OF BOARD MEMBER

Resignation of a Board member shall be in writing and filed with the County Superintendent of Schools. The resignation shall become effective on the date specified and irrevocable upon being filed with the County Superintendent.

A copy of the resignation shall be submitted to the Secretary of the Governing Board.

The Board member shall retain the right to exercise all his/her powers until the effective date of resignation. However, he/she shall not vote in any action the Board may take in making a provisional appointment to fill the vacancy.
