Expanded Learning Opportunities Program

Muroc JUSD's Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs

ELO-Program Options

Dear Muroc Families,

For those interested in sending their students to the Muroc ELOP program, please read this entire notice as there have been a number of changes from prior years. ELOP Registration will become active at 12:00PM on August 8th.

New for this year the District has added a one-hour before school care option for the Bailey and Branch ELOP program. At this time, the West Boron program remains after school only.

Additionally, all families registering for ELOP must now complete an income category determination before registration. This new requirement helps ensure our program pricing is fair and accessible to all families based on household income.

Required Steps Before Registration:

Step 1: Complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application

All registrants must complete the District's free and reduced meal application located at: https://www.muroc.k12.ca.us/departments/food_services

Step 2: Determine Your Income Category: ELOP Income Categories and Pricing

Once you've completed the meal application, you'll use this information to select your Customer Type category during ELOP registration.

ELOP rates are determined by five categories:

  • Category 1
  • Category 2
  • Category 3
  • Free Reduced Lunch Program/Homeless/Foster
  • Muroc JUSD employee

Important Notes:

  • If you qualify for the free or reduced meal program, or if your student is a foster or homeless youth, the ELOP program is FREE.
  • If you are an employee of Muroc Joint Unified School District, the ELOP program is FREE on days during the time the employee is on duty.
  • For all other families: Find your household income and household size as entered into the free and reduced meal application to determine which income category applies to you.
  • Income categories are based on USDA income eligibility scales, which can be found at: https://www.fns.usda.gov/cn/fr-031325
