INSTRUCTION

SELECTION OF VALEDICTORIAN

All students receiving a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) or above will be valedictorians. If no one receives a 4.0 GPA, the person with the highest GPA will be the valedictorian. The person with the next highest GPA will be salutatorian.

Selection of the valedictorian and salutatorian will be based on the accumulative GPA at the end of the seventh (7th) semester for students graduating in four (4) years, or at the end of the fifth (5th) semester for students graduating in three (3) years. To be eligible, students must have completed two (2) semesters in residence. Students who transfer in during their senior year may be recognized at the academic awards banquet for their academic achievements.

In case of ties, people in the ties will be declared co-winners. Determination of the student speaker or speakers at commencement will be left up to the principal and senior class sponsors.
