Five (5) units are earned for the successful completion of a course that meets the equivalent of five (5) regular periods per week for one semester.

Procedures

College courses taken while attending MJUSD schools will be added to the transcript under the following conditions:

  1. The course was approved in writing by the principal or designee for high school credit before the student enrolled in the course.
  2. College courses added to the high school transcript will receive weighted credit only if they are approved, transfer-level Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (or equivalent) courses to the University of California or California State University systems.
  3. College courses taken to meet California high school graduation subject requirements must meet the course content specified by California Education Code. If not, they will receive elective credit only.
