ADMINISTRATIVE LEEWAY IN ABSENCE OF GOVERNING BOARD POLICY

In cases where emergency action must be taken within the school system and when the Governing Board has provided no guides for administrative action, the Superintendent shall have the power to act. The Superintendent's decisions shall be subject to review by action of the Governing Board at its next regular meeting.

It shall be the duty of the Superintendent to keep the Board President apprised of any action taken in emergency situations prior to the Board's next regular meeting. If the action necessitates the addition or revision of policies, the Superintendent shall make the necessary recommendations to the Board.
